Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign
Will Invisalign® work for me?
The short answer is yes. Invisalign® is an excellent alternative to traditional metal braces for many people and works for a variety of different dental issues. It’s important to speak with your dentist or orthodontist about whether Invisalign® is right for you, but here are some of the most common reasons why Invisalign® may be the best option for your smile:
- You have mild-to-moderate crowding.
- You have minor spacing issues.
- You have a mild-to-moderate overbite or underbite.
- You want to improve the appearance of your smile.
Invisalign® is more than just a straightening system. It's a series of clear aligners that gradually move your teeth into their new positions. This means that Invisalign® can be used to treat a variety of orthodontic issues, not just crooked teeth.
Why should I choose Invisalign® over regular braces?
Invisalign® is an excellent option for anyone who wants to correct their teeth without wearing metal braces. Invisalign® aligners are clear, removable plastic trays worn over your teeth to move them into their proper positions gradually.
Invisalign® is an alternative to traditional metal braces, with the added benefit that you can remove your aligners at any time to eat and drink. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® doesn't require you to put up with an unpleasant mouth full of wires, brackets, and rubber bands. And because they're made of plastic instead of metal, they're more comfortable than traditional braces.
Will I have to wear my Invisalign® aligners all the time?
For best results, we recommend wearing the Invisalign® aligner trays for at least 20 hours daily.
You'll need to remove your aligners to eat, drink, and brush and floss your teeth. Some patients remove them while sleeping, but this may lengthen your overall treatment time.
If you're wondering whether you can wear Invisalign® while exercising, the answer is yes! Just be sure to remove your aligners before participating in contact sports.
If you're still unsure how often or when you should wear Invisalign®, speak with your dentist about how your schedule might affect treatment outcomes.
How long does Invisalign® treatment take?
The treatment begins with a series of impressions and scans done by your dentist. These are used to create a 3D model of your mouth, which allows the Invisalign® technician to design a set of custom-made aligners that fit your mouth perfectly. Each aligner has a different shape, which moves your teeth incrementally over time until they're straightened completely.
Each aligner is worn for two weeks before being replaced by the next one in the series. The length of treatment varies from patient to patient and depends on the complexity of your case. In most cases, treatment takes between 12 and 18 months.
How do I brush and floss when wearing Invisalign®?
You can brush and floss your teeth as usual with Invisalign®, simply remove your aligner trays first. You can also use a Waterpik® or other dental irrigator to help rinse food particles from between your teeth.
